Ephesians 4:13-16 and bladder support

all are vital
I think every person on earth would agree that our bodies are "fearfully and wonderfully made."  We marvel at how gymnasts and ballerinas are able to perform amazing feats with them.  With skin on, our bodies have the potential to resemble works of art in motion.  How different we might feel, though, were we actually able to peer inside the body of a gymnast performing the Iron Cross routine, though, as every muscle, tendon, and ligament strains to keep everything in perfect alignment!
No one would ever think to consider the importance of the structures that, for example, hold the bladder securely in place, but their failure during a gymnast's routine would certainly spoil everything.
Verse 16 says, "The whole body [the church] depends (no pun intended) on Christ, and all the parts of the body are joined and held togetherEach part does its own work to make the whole body grow and be strong with love."
Yes, in the church, the importance and indispensability of every member can be easily seen by that example.  We tend to think of ourselves as bones or organs, I think -- vital roles.  But there are also bladders and support structures for them (and okay, I'll admit -- probably colons as well...).
We don't think badly of these parts in our bodies when everything is knit together well and working as it should.  So we should do the same with all members of our spiritual body, the church.
Father, thanks for reminding me that a church is a living, breathing organism, and when any part is sick, the whole body can suffer.  You've helped me never to shun the role of any part, and I needed to understand that.
Your Brother In Christ,
Gary Ford
