Who couldn’t see
Jesus in these verses! They plainly
describe everything He endured for us as He suffered by taking upon Himself our sins. It all becomes personalized in verses 5 and
6:
“But He was wounded for the wrong we did; He was crushed for the evil we did. The punishment,
which made us well, was given to Him, and we are healed because of
His wounds. We all
have wandered away like sheep; each of us has gone his own way. But the
Lord has put on Him the punishment
for all the evil WE have done …He
had done nothing wrong … But He carried away the sins of many people and asked
forgiveness for those who sinned.
Thank You for loving me that much, Jesus, that You would
take on the worst that I can be and carry it away, so that I can be with You
and the Father in Heaven some day!
Your Brother In Christ,
Gary Ford
